How to solve the problem of excessive exhaust temperature of 3126B diesel engine for Caterpillar excavators
1. Cause of failure
(1) The speed/timing sensor is faulty, installed incorrectly and needs calibration.
(2) The fuel injector connector is not connected correctly.
(3) The air intake and exhaust systems are blocked or leaking.
(4) Leakage between exhaust manifold and turbocharger.
2. Troubleshooting
(1) Use ET to check the fault code and, if necessary, calibrate the diesel engine timing.
(2) Check whether the ECM connector J2/P2 and the injector connector are installed correctly.
