1. Cause of failure (1) The password entered is incorrect.
(2) The factory number is not entered or is entered incorrectly.
(3) The reason code is not entered or is entered incorrectly.

2. Troubleshooting
(1) Check whether the password has been entered correctly, check every character in the password, turn the ignition key switch to the OFF position for 30 seconds, and then try again.
(2) Check if ET is on the factory password screen. (3) Use ET to check whether the diesel engine factory number, ECM factory number, ET factory number and reason code have been correctly entered.
