How to Replace Caterpillar Replace Fuses

Fuses -Fuses protect the electrical system from damage that is caused by overloaded circuits.
Replace the fuse if the element separates. If the element of a new fuse separates, check the circuit.
Repair the circuit, if necessary.
NOTICE Replace the fuses with the same type and size only.
Otherwise, electrical damage can result.
If it is necessary to replace fuses frequently, an electri-
cal problem may exist. Contact you Caterpillar dealer

Remove the cover on the steering console in order to access the main fuse panel.

Note: Some of the main fuses are tied together with the fuses in the headliner. For example, if all of the lights are not functioning, check the main fuse for the lights in the steering console. If one light is not functioning, check the fuse in the headliner for the specific light.

The fuse panel is located in the switch panel on the headliner of the cab.
Remove the cover in order to access the fuses.
